Tor Sorlien started Sorlien Electric from the back of a pickup truck in 1984. He had only his tool box and this belief: "If you give people what they truly need, and charge a fair price, you'll never be without customers."
Tor traded in his toolbox for a tackle box when he retired a while back, BUT... he left the company in excellent hands.... his daughter, Amy and his son, Mac.
No matter the size of your project, our team approach ensures quality and efficiency at every step. Our experienced estimator/project managers use advanced computer-based estimating tools, and our field supervisors lead a skilled workforce of 70 to 80 electricians—with the flexibility to scale as needed to meet project demands.

MAC SORLIEN
Mac Sorlien, a journeyman electrician/contractor, officially joined Sorlien Electric in 1995, though his hands-on experience in the trade began back in high school. Now serving as President, Mac is committed to ensuring every project is completed on time, within budget, and to the full satisfaction of the client. He values the diversity of work his role offers and takes pride in building strong, lasting relationships with developers, clients, and customers alike.
AMY SORLIEN-LEE
Amy joined Sorlien Electric in 1994 and has been a key contributor to the company's success ever since. Now serving as Vice President, she is responsible for estimating, project oversight, and ensuring each job is completed on time and with precision. Over the years, Amy has developed extensive knowledge in nearly every aspect of the business—from hands-on electrical work to estimating, project management, and final billing. She also holds a Journeyman Electrician License, further reflecting her deep expertise and commitment to the field.
WANDA KETTLEMAN
As the Business Office Manager and Human Resources lead, Wanda manages accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll operations at Sorlien Electric. Since joining the company in 2003, she has become a valuable resource for both clients and team members. Wanda enjoys every aspect of her role, especially the daily interactions with her coworkers—whom she proudly considers part of her extended family.
NIKKI SIMONSON
Niki Simonsen started working with Sorlien Electric in 2020. She is the lighting specialist, the safety coordinator and even helps out with some of the HR. If there is ever anything you need in the way of lights for projects or you need to match something you currently have, do not hesitate to call. Niki loves helping people and will do her best to find exactly what you are looking for.
